Redesigning VA Video Connect

Improving telehealth access for Veterans through a modernized, Veteran-centric interface

01. Context & Problem

About the Project

VA Video Connect enables Veterans to attend virtual appointments with their providers. While effective in function, the platform's reliance on Pexip’s out of the box UI led to critical usability issues.

Problem

  • Limited flexibility for UI/UX customization

  • Confusing navigation due to unlabeled icons and inconsistent layout

  • Accessibility shortcomings, especially on mobile and screen readers
